Challah Knife by Alessi

The Jewish Museum and Alessi, the Italian design house, collaborated on a special selection of contemporary designs from Alessi's catalog for Jewish holidays and traditions.

 

The Nuovo Milano Knife, designed by Ettore Sottsass, is an excellent choice for the Sabbath. Sottsass wanted the handle to be as smooth as seaworn stones. Several years of experimenting, prototyping and technological research resulted in the final product.
