Shalom Menorah by Dan Droz

Designed by sculptor Dan Droz, this limited edition, handcast "Shalom" menorah features a "tekhelet" glaze, the ancient sacred blue used in biblical garments, tzitzit, and Temple textiles. Each menorah comes with a certificate of authenticity, is signed by the artist and can be proudly displayed year-round as a freestanding sculpture, communicating a wish for peace and welcome.

Dan Droz has been a visual artist-sculptor and industrial designer for over 50-years and a design professor at CMU, cofounding the first program in the US advancing the concept of collaborative design. He has been recognized as “Designer of the Year (ID Magazine), “Best-of-US” (Abitare /Italy), an unprecedented 7 Daphne Awards (‘Oscars’ of Product Design), an unprecedented 31 awards by the American Marketing Association and was recognized as one of seven distinguished arts alumni of Harvard. In 2019, he retired from his design and research career to focus on art projects and has been commissioned for public and private projects from New York to California, featured in over 100 solo and juried exhibitions and received numerous awards and commendations.
