Over a century ago, the Wallach Brothers built one of Germany’s most beloved folk textile and homewares businesses, helping shape Bavarian style through richly patterned fabrics, traditional dress, and handcrafted objects. As a Jewish family business in Munich, their success was cut short when they were forced to surrender the company to the Nazis in the 1930s. Today, The Wallach Project, founded by the family’s descendants, preserves and reimagines this remarkable archive of material culture and design history. The Six Bells & Wallach Project Collection draws inspiration from these original textiles and folk traditions, honoring the artistry, warmth, and beauty that endured across generations.
