"Never Forget" Ceramic Mezuzah
During the Holocaust, Nazi forces devised a system of symbolic cloth badges to dehumanize, identify and control different types of "undesirables" imprisoned in the concentration camps. The most well-known of these badges is the yellow Star of David. This symbol, meant to signal that Jews were not part of the "normal" German population, also shamed and isolated Jewish prisoners. This mezuzah incorporates the colors of all the original Nazi badges, reimagining these symbols of oppression in a kaleidoscopic rainbow of strength, solidarity, and hope. Each piece honors those imprisoned for their identity and celebrates their life.
Kosher mezuzah scroll sold separately. The back of the mezuzah case is open. Once rolled, the scroll sits inside the compartment in the back. The opening for the scroll is 3.75" tall. This mezuzah case requires nails to affix to the doorway. Nails not included.
