Sterling Kiddush Cup by Piet Cohen

This sleek sterling kiddush cup designed by architect Piet Cohen has a round base that transforms into an ovular shape towards the top. This transformation allows the cup to settle well in the hand and ensures easy pouring and drinking. The cup's gold plated interior accentuates the elegant design. Twisting along the side of the cup is an engraving in Hebrew that reads "Baruch borei porei hagafen", which translates to "Blessed is the creator of the fruit of the vine." 

 

Piet Cohen started his career in archictecture in Jerusalem and began designing his series of Jewish ceremonial objects in 1993. The clean lines of his designs express his belief that Judaism provides a coherent philosophy of our complex world. Piet Cohen now operates out of the Netherlands, where all his Judaica is crafted.
