Collage Haggadah: An artist's exploration of the themes of Passover
By Emily Marbach
The Collage Haggadah is a book designed to use for the Jewish spring festival of Passover. The book is also an exploration of the biblical themes of the Israelites' exodus from Egypt, depicted in the medium of collage. Practically every page is adorned with originally designed images by the collage artist and printmaker, Emily Marbach, an American who lives in London. The text of the Haggadah is in Hebrew with a brand new translation into English by the artist herself. The translation is true to the original which was codified around the year 1000, except that god is genderless. An excellent addition to anyone's Haggadah library or simply as an art book.
