White Ceramic Candlesticks by Liz Lauter

These folk-art inspired, terracotta one-of-a-kind candlesticks are handmade by Liz Lauter in her ceramic studio in California. Clay sculpted flowers and leaves wrap around the front and back of each candlestick. The opaque white of the pieces is from a majolica glaze.
 
Liz Lauter is a ceramicist working out of California. Her ceramic Judaica is inspired by a fusion of Mexican folk-art tree of life candelabras, Italian majolica ceramics and her personal passion for botany. Each piece is hand sculpted from earthenware terracotta clay and special wire and fired in the kiln. The piece is then dipped in a white opaque “majolica” glaze.

Irregularities in the surface and form are part of its charm and are not defects.
