Lunar Convertible Bracelet and Necklace by NEVELSON X WIND

Presenting NEVELSON X WIND, a new limited-edition suite of wearable art inspired by master sculptors Louise Nevelson and Dina Wind.

A love for the shapes and materials of discarded objects was a passion shared by Louise Nevelson (1899-1988) and Dina Wind (1938-2014). Their work up-cycled components into dramatic, gender-defying, sculptural assemblages.

Both women wore signature, statement jewelry and embraced the power of fashion to express their inner strength, confidence, and style. Designers Maria Nevelson and John Wind infuse the spirit of both women into hand-assembled collages, embellished with charms and chain from workshops and flea markets around the world. A portion of all sales will be donated to the artist’s foundations, which are run by Maria Nevelson and John Wind respectively.

This piece can be worn as a necklace, or as a bracelet by removing the bar on one side. The Lunar Convertible Bracelet/Necklace was were made to echo signature black sculptures such as Louise's Lunar Landscape, 1959-60 (Collection Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Ft. Worth,TX) and Dina's Jazz Series (Black Version), 1992 (Dina Wind Art Foundation, Philadelphia, PA).
