Members $39.60 Made for the Jewish Museum Shop is this lucite matzah tray featuring a reproduction of the painting "Untitled (Horowitz Margareten Matzohs) by Adam Rolston included in the Jewish Museum's collection.
Rolston's painting of a matzoh box directly responds to Andy Warhol's imagery of Coca-Cola bottles and Campbell's soup cans. As both homage and critique of Warhol, Rolston glamorizes the Horowitz Margarten brand and elevates it to art. The artist's hand is clearly seen in Rolston's bold, painterly brushwork which differs from the silk-screening process preferred by Warhol.
The tray perfectly fits square Passover matzah, adding pop art to the holiday table and home. To wash, clean with a damp cloth by hand.
