Heart Menorah by Liz Lauter

This folk-art inspired, terracotta one-of-a-kind menorah is handmade by Liz Lauter in her ceramic studio in California. Clay sculpted flowers and leaves wrap around the front and back of the tall, looping arms that form the shape of a heart in the middle. White doves dangle from wires in the empty space and a singular fruit hangs in the center under the main yellow flower. Assorted songbirds sit above each arch.
 
Liz Lauter is a ceramicist working out of California. Her ceramic Judaica is inspired by a fusion of Mexican folk-art tree of life candelabras, Italian majolica ceramics and her personal passion for botany. Each piece is hand sculpted from earthenware terracotta clay and special wire and fired in the kiln. The piece is then dipped in a white opaque “majolica” glaze and hand-painted with ceramic glaze colors from Italy.

Irregularities in the surface and form are part of its charm and are not defects. Fits Shabbat candles, not traditional Hanukkah candles. Made in California.
