HanuKron GPS Electronic Menorah by Dorian Garson
Never forget a candle lighting this Hanukkah season with the HanuKron. During Hanukkah, the HanuKron is timed to light up at sunset with the correct number of lights and plays “O Hanukkah, O Hanukkah.”
The creator Dorian Garson is a former Microsoft Software Design Engineer. He developed over 1000 lines of custom code for the HanuKron. Each HanuKron is made using a 92 step process involving assembly, coding, and soldering of both the outside wood case and the electronics inside.
The HanuKron does not need a Wi-Fi connection; it uses radio waves from GPS satellites to receive information about the current date and time and location so it can calculate the precise moment of sunset.
The HanuKron honors Shabbat by playing and lighting up for 10 minutes before sunset on Fridays. In Polar regions where the sun doesn’t set, it activates at 5PM.
Hanukkah candles are not needed. Each HanuKron is handmade on Whidbey Island, WA, USA.
