by Greta Elbogen
Greta Elbogen's book of poems, God Plays Hide And Seek, expresses her life's journey, a saga focused on how she finds her way out of deep sadness as a result of extreme losses as a little girl during World War II. It tells of her ability to find beauty around her, an ability that sustained her in spite of her life's tribulations.
In her poetic language Greta guides us how to transform suffering to inner peace and joy, and become more loving and more forgiving. She believes that in order to create a happy peaceful society we need to focus more on self-development, self-healing. As Greta says, "It is our life's purpose to search, to grow."
The collection of poems is in English with German translation, published by the Theodor Kramer Society in April, 2015 and funded by the city of Vienna, Austria. Greta Elbogen was invited by the Austrian Government to present her work at literary houses, and high schools, where it has have been received with great enthusiasm.
Each of Greta's poems has the power to uplift our spirit in a time when we often doubt that Happiness in our daily life and Peace in the World is possible.
