Floral Garden Seder Plate by Liz Lauter

These terracotta seder plates are handmade by Liz Lauter in her ceramic studio in California. The base of the seder plate rises off the table and is decorated with an image of a flower. Each handmade flower bowl is a unique color combination with assorted shapes.

Liz Lauter is a ceramicist working out of California. Her ceramic Judaica is inspired by a fusion of Mexican folk-art tree of life candelabras, Italian majolica ceramics and her personal passion for botany. Each piece is hand sculpted from earthenware terracotta clay and special wire and fired in the kiln. The piece is then dipped in a white opaque “majolica” glaze and hand-painted with ceramic glaze colors from Italy.

Irregularities in the surface and form are part of its charm and are not defects. Made in California.
