En-Gedi Kiddush Cup by Ceremonials

The En-Gedi Kiddush Cup by Ceremonials is designed by Tel Aviv designer Shira Keret. The deconstruction of the cup into two distinct units gestures at the ceremony itself, in which the kiddush cup passes from hand to hand, only to return to the ceremony leader once the circle is complete. The text revealed once the bowl is separated from the base was designed by a master calligrapher, representing a modern interpretation of the ancient Hebrew script used in period scrolls and letters unearthed in the area.  Written is the Hebrew phrase "borei pri hagafen", which is from the blessing over wine.  Each base has a unique patina pattern and colors. The En-Gedi Kiddush Cup comes in a wooden keepsake box.  Made in Israel.
