Add a work of art to your Passover table with this Seder plate by Bernardaud featuring Marc Chagall's paintings from stained-glass windows. In 1959, Marc Chagall was commissioned by the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center to create 12 stained-glass windows, which would symbolize the 12 tribes of Israel. The image on this Seder plate set is Chagall's dream-like interpretation of the Joseph Tribe. The set includes six white dishes for the symbolic seder foods.  Each dish features the name of the food and an illustration. Gift boxed. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Made in France.

Marc Chagall (1887-1985), a Russian-French artist, was one of the most successful artists of the 20th century. He was an early modernist and worked in virtually every artistic medium, including: painting, book illustration, stained glass, stage sets, ceramics, tapestries and fine art painting. His work is included in the permanent collection of the Jewish Museum.
