Designer Jonathan Adler created this modern seder plate for Passover.
Born in New Jersey in 1966, Adler began making pottery at summer camp and continued to work on his technique while studying art history at Brown University and then pottery at the Rhode Island School of Design. In 1994, he sold his first line to Barney's in New York City. Today, there are Jonathan Adler stores throughout the United States and one in England. Adler's Judaica collection includes works in ceramics, metals and enamels. His Utopia menorah is part of The Jewish Museum's permanent collection.
This seder plate is included in
Design Edition JM,
a curated selection of modern and contemporary Jewish ritual objects by designers commissioned and collected by The Jewish Museum.
