Chic designer Jonathan Adler created this delightful menorah. Consisting of a happy family of nine modular pieces, each piece is reversible with a hipster on one side and an older character on the other. If you look closely, you will see a Jewish star necklace around the women! The shamash is slightly elevated.
Born in New Jersey in 1966, Adler began making pottery at summer camp and continued to work on his technique while studying art history at Brown University and then pottery at the Rhode Island School of Design. In 1994, he sold his first line to Barney's in New York City. Today, he has several Jonathan Adler stores, including one in England, and sells his work throughout the world. Adler includes Judaica in his ceramics, metals and enamels collection.
This menorah is included in
Design Edition JM,
a curated selection of modern and contemporary Jewish ritual objects by extraordinary designers commissioned and collected by The Jewish Museum.

Each piece is 2-1/2"w x 5"h (shamash is 6"h)
