Inspired by the Tree of Life, designer Michael Aram created this kiddush cup with branches and birds extending from the cup's stem. The Tree of Life, from the Book of Genesis, is a tree in the Garden of Eden whose fruit gives everlasting life.
Aram is an American-born artist who studied and lived in New York through the late 1980s. During a trip to India, he discovered the rich traditions of metal working and set up a workshop in New Delhi. Today, Aram keeps the traditional style and technique of metal working alive through his passion for his craft. This passion can be seen throughout his collection, which ranges from table top to furniture. Every piece Arams designs possesses unique personal and narrative qualities.
