Introduction by Cecil Roth

The Kennicott Bible was written in Corunna, a city in northwest Spain, for one Isaac de Braga by a scribe of great repute named Moses idn Zabara, who completed his work in the summer of 1476. The illuminations were executed by Joseph ibn Hayyim, who apparently belonged to a family of manuscript illuminators.
