The circles of Love, Life and Peace grace this charm necklace designed by Carolee for The Jewish Museum. Each circle reverses to the Hebrew; Ahava (love), Chai (life) and Shalom (peace). The "life" charm is 14-kt. goldplated, giving a sophisticated contrast between the three charms. The letters forming the Hebrew words were taken from a Torah binder hand painted in 1946. Torah binders are wrapped around the Torah scrolls to keep them together when not in use and are often decorated with Hebrew inscriptions and scenes depicting life-cycle events.
Sterling silver with vermeil
Adjustable chain between 16" and 18" long
Charm sizes vary - the largest measures 3/4" round
