These Star of David cufflinks are adapted from a Shiviti print, ca. 1925.  A Shiviti is a meditative, decorative plaque hung in synagogues and in some Jewish homes inscribed with the verse "shiviti hashem lenegdi tamid," meaning "I have set the Lord always before me."
