The pomegranate and grape design on this frame is taken from a book cover, originally designed in the Arts and Crafts style at the Bezalel School in Jerusalem, ca. 1920, found in the permanent collection of The Jewish Museum.  The pomegranates and grapevines are part of the Seven Species found in the land of Israel, which were the foods that sustained the people of Israel during biblical times.

This frame has been hand polished and lacquered to avoid tarnish.  To clean the frame, wipe it with a damp cloth.  Made in the USA.
