This seder plate is handmade in the outskirts of Mexico City using the ancient technique of sand casting: a molten alloy of aluminum is poured into sand molds and then goes through four levels of polishing. More than a dozen pairs of hands are involved in the creation of each piece.

Beatriz Ball has been producing handmade tabletop pieces with artisans in Mexico since 1991. Many of those metalworkers are still with the company.
