This key ring is an adaptation of a 20th-century Moroccan hamsa.  The hamsa - the Arabic word for a hand-shaped amulet - is commonly used by Muslims and Jews as a protective charm to ward off evil. The original hamsa is found on a synagogue lamp in the permanent collection of The Jewish Museum.  This key chain is both easy to carry and find in one's purse or pocket.  Made in the USA.
