The Jewish Museum Shop invited local artisans to design contemporary products inpsired by the art in the exhibition, Edouard Vuillard: A Painter and His Muses, 1890-1940.

 

Designer Marianne van Ooij for studioooij: "Vuillard and the Nabi group of painters he was part of were called out for their 'earnesty and their beards' which was the inspiration for the mugs. Besides adding a lighthearted touch, the images of  beards also bridge the time between then and now, where we see more and more beards in the streets again today."
