by Kimberly Lewis Home exclusively for The Jewish Museum Shop
The Jewish Museum Shop invited local artisans to design contemporary products inpsired by the art in the exhibition,
Edouard Vuillard: A Painter and His Muses, 1890-1940
.
This modern serving tray was designed by Kimberly Lewis. "When designing the pattern for the trays I was inspired by the fanciful interior backgrounds of Vuillard's paintings. The pattern I designed was inspired by the painting Mme Tristan Bernard. I took inspiration from the paintings' rich palette as well as the lattice work in the background."
Each tray features Lewis's pattern printed onto fabric, which is then laminated within the tray body. The tray is backed in white, which adds a modern aestetic to the vintage inspired print. The trays and fabric are all produced locally in New York City.
Trays are food safe; handwash only
