Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, artist Asya Palatova, founder of Gleena (Gleena means clay in Russian) spent her early childhood summers in her family's dacha, a Russian country house, where her grandmother gardened.  It is this garden that has provided the inspiration for Asya's Passover seder plate. Each piece, featuring grasses, insects and butterflies depicted on soft beige porcelain, is handmade by Palatova in her studio in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This seder plate was made exclusively for The Jewish Museum.
