In this bendel (string) bracelet, red cord is used to symbolize the string from the Tomb of Rachel. It is a Jewish custom to wear red string from the Tomb of Rachel around one's left wrist. According to tradition, red string is wrapped around the stone at Rachel's grave seven times during the recitation of Hebrew prayers. The string is then cut to be worn around the wrist as a form of protection and blessing. A heart charm hangs from the bracelet, adding love to symbolic style.
