This bowl, decorated with olive branches, is designed by Michael Aram and can be used to serve applesauce with latkes, haroset at Passover or honey for apples. The olive branch is an enduring symbol of peace and also represents the branch brought back to Noah's Ark by the dove during the time of the Flood.
Aram is an American-born artist who studied and lived in New York until the late 1980s. During a trip to India, he discovered the rich traditions of metal working and set up a workshop in New Delhi. Today, Aram keeps the old traditional style and technique of metal working alive and his passion for his craft can be seen throughout his unique collection, which ranges from table top to furniture.
