This item is included in
Global Good Partners: A Tikkun Olam Story
in the Cooper Shop at The Jewish Museum.
Global Goods Partners (GGP) is a New York City-based not-for-profit organization grounded in the Jewish tradition of Tikkun Olam – a Hebrew phrase that means “repairing the world.” GGP founders Catherine Shimony and Joan Shifrin work with women around the globe in marginalized regions to develop income-generating craft initiatives. The proceeds from sales of GGP products go back to the women, empowering them to fund education, health, food, security and social rights initiatives in their communities.
