The Molten kiddush cup is designed by Michael Aram, who creates his molten look with a hand-welded edge, complementing the clean, hand-forged form of the kiddush cup.
Aram is an American-born artist who studied and lived in
New York
through the late 1980s. During a trip to
India,
he discovered the rich traditions of metal working and set up a workshop in
New Delhi
. Today,
Aram
keeps the traditional style and technique of metal working alive through his passion for his craft. This passion can be seen throughout his collection, which ranges from table top to furniture. Every piece Arams designs possesses unique personal and narrative qualities.
His metalwork is based on traditional Indian metalsmithing.
