This beautiful tzedakah box, designed by Zelig Segal, has the Hebrew word 'tzedakah' written down along one side and also creatively circling the box in a crossword puzzle-like manner. Made in Israel.

Segal, born and raised  in Jerusalem, is a master sculptor, draftsman and designer.  Raised in an observant household, Segal designs ritual objects infused with Jewish sentiment through an innovative mode that breaks from the familiar language of Judaica.  His work can be found in the permanent collection of The Jewish Museum.

This tzedakah box is included in Design Edition JM, a curated selection of modern and contemporary Jewish ritual objects by extraordinary designers commissioned and collected by The Jewish Museum.
