For this decorative pomegranate by Talila Abraham, traditional lace work is recreated in modern metal to form a marriage of old and new. The pomegranate is an age-old symbol of fertility and wealth and is also one of the seven species of Israel. The metal tag says: "May It Be Your Will, That, Our Merits Increase Like The Seeds Of A Pomegranate."

Abraham, born in 1965, is a graduate of Haifa's Technion Israeli Institute of Technology and the Holon Academic Institute of Technology in Israel. Metalaceart combines the traditional process of handcrafting lace with metal. The designs of Abraham are inspired by the works of unknown women and merge the unique personal and romantic feeling of handicraft with contemporary materials and advanced technology.
