The border of this ketubah depicts blossoms of springtime. Just as flower blossoms have us eagerly awaiting the arrival of a new season, so too a bride and groom eagerly enter the springtime of their lives.  The border color contrast produces a visual harmony symbolic of the contrasts between any couple that marries and produces a harmonious relationship.  Passages from Song of Songs in Hebrew and English surround the outer edge of the border.

Patty Shaivitz Leve’s lifelong passion for calligraphy has led her to the creation of custom ketubot since 1981.  Her work is in private collections throughout the United Stated andIsrael.  Her signature style combines her love of Judaism and its rich heritage with her fascination in calligraphy and illuminated manuscripts.
