Designed by Piet Cohen, who started his career in architecture in Jerusalem, this kiddush cup has a round base that transforms into an oval shape towards the top. This transformation allows the cup to settle well in the hand and ensures easy pouring and drinking.

Born in The Netherlands, Cohen has studied and worked in Israel, Amsterdam, the United States and Portugal. The clean lines of his designs express his belief that Judaism provides a coherent philosophy of our complex world.  His Judaica can be found in the permanent collection of The Jewish Museum.

This kiddush cup is included in Design Edition JM, a curated selection of modern and contemporary Jewish ritual objects by extraordinary designers commissioned and collected by The Jewish Museum.
