The illustrations surrounding the text of this ketubah are hand-cut embossed metal.  Poetry from the Book of Jeremiah complements the intricate depictions of vineyard grapes, fruits of the sea, the lion ofJudah, peacocks and other symbols of fertility, life, love and wealth. 

 

Gad Almaliah was born and raised in Jerusalem and studied the visual arts in both Israel and New York.  Gad served as president of the Graphic Designers' Association of Israel for 15 years and has taught design on a university level in Israel, America and Canada.
