Artist Marit Meisler offers a fresh, contempory take on the traditional hamsa with her unusual and unexpected choice of cement. This durable concrete cast of the hamsa is accented with neon pink polymer. An abstract evil eye is featured in the center, for added protection.

Meisler was born in Old Jaffa, Israel. Her father, Frank Meisler, a Judaica artist, works in metals in a traditional figural style. Marit Meisler trained in Industrial Design at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Meisler lives in Israel, where she produces this line of Judaica. Her work is part of the permanent collection of The Jewish Museum.
