Designed by Melanie Dankowicz, this trivet features a pomegranate and floral motif within a hamsa shape. The hamsa is a common Middle Eastern symbol thought to protect one from the evil eye. Pomegranates, one the seven species of Israel, are known to represent fertility. The trivet can protect your table or countertops or it can be used as a wall decoration. Made in the USA.
Dankowicz began her career by first designing her and her husband's ketubah in 1994. The couple now work together to create ketubot, as well as seder plates, matzah plates, trivets, wall art and a wide array of other objects. Her work combines traditional Jewish motifs with contemporary themes, which often include the wildflowers of Israel.
