Designed by Israeli artist Hadas Shaham, this hamsa necklace offers a modern take on a traditional design by combining concrete with soft goldplate. The hamsa is a Middle Eastern symbol worn to protect one from the evil eye.
Shaham's inspiration for her jewelry comes from the architectural elements that surround her. Her concrete collection is based on the combination of old and new, gentle and harsh. Shaham is a gradute of the Shenkar Academy of Design in Tel Aviv, Israel, where she specialized in jewelry and fashion accessories design, in addition to industrial design. Everything is handmade by her.
