Designer Talila Abraham recreates traditional lace fabrics using a modern metal design for this square plate suitable for matzah.

Abraham is a graduate of the Technion Israeli Institute of Technology in Haifa and Israel's Holon Academic Institute of Technology. Metalace Art combines the traditional process of handcrafting lace with the modern material of stainless steel. Abraham's designs are inspired from the work of unknown women and merge the unique personal and romantic feeling of handcraft with contemporary materials and advanced technology. Each piece is individually processed and hand treated for optimal shape and structure.

This matzah plate is included in Design Edition JM, a curated selection of modern and contemporary Jewish ritual objects by designers commissioned and collected by The Jewish Museum. Made in Israel.
