The Connection Mezuzah was designed by Dror Benshetrit for Alessi in collaboration with The Jewish Museum.

The mezuzah represents connection and belonging. Benshetrit merges two forms that represent past and present, tradition and religion, and ritual and habitual.  The letter Shin, usually on the face of the mezuzah, has been incorporated into the typography of the textured form, left for you to discover.  The Tel Aviv-born artist was inspired by a stamp seal, possibly from northern Israel or eastern Syria, 4th-7th century C.E., which is in the permanent collection of The Jewish Museum.

This mezuzah is included in Design Edition JM, a curated selection of modern and contemporary Jewish ritual objects by extraordinary designers commissioned and collected by The Jewish Museum.
