Lions are commonly seen as the decorative elements in Judaica.  They represent the tribe of Judah and are thought to be a symbol of strength.  Several objects in the museum's collection feature lions holding up tablets or crowns.  This menorah for Hanukkah, with its regal lions, reminds of these historical and traditional Jewish ceremonial objects.  Made in Israel.
