Create your own jewelry with this Anni Albers Jewelry Studio Kit.  The kit is based upon an original piece from a 1941 traveling exhibition of common object jewelry by Albers and student Alex Reed. Even during World War II, when materials were in short supply, Anni Albers invented ways to create playful, elegant objects using simple components found in hardware shops and stationery stores.

Anni Albers (1899-1994) was a German-American textile artist and printmaker. She trained at the Bauhaus and is perhaps the best known textile artist of the 20th century.  Her work is included in the permanent collection of The Jewish Museum.

Kit includes grossgrain ribbon in color shown, stainless steel washers and instructions to create the necklace pictured.
