Designed by Laura Cowan, this elegant pair of pink candlesticks represent Adam and Eve. Each piece has been patiently and expertly created from solid, aviation-quality aluminum. The base has been highly polished to a mirror finish and the top anodised. The contrasting finishes reflect the opposites of day and night, heaven and earth, and sea and land. The six discs represent the six days of the week prior to Shabbat. The candlesticks are also reversible; one or both candlesticks can be displayed upside down.
Contemporary designer Laura Cowan began her career in London after graduating in Silversmithing and Jewellery from London Guildhall University. She now brings her unique ideas to the field of Judaica, working from her design studio and workshop in Tel Aviv.
