This is a reproduction facsimile from the Rothschild Miscellany.
The Rothschild Miscellany, a treasure of the Israel Museum, is the most elegantly and lavishly executed Hebrew manuscrips of the 15th century. From its inception, it was planned as a work to encompass, in minute detail, almost every custom of religious and secular Jewish life. The manuscript comprises 37 religious and secular works including, Psalms, Job, Siddur, Mahzor and Haggadah.
The facsimile was printed in up to 11 colors on specially made parchment paper and burnished gold was copied by laying metal leaf by hand to a raised surface. Produced in England by Facsimile Editions.
