This salt and pepper shaker set by Michael Aram was inspired by the form of pomegranates: a symbol of eternity, fertility and plenty. It is an age-old image that crosses cultures, transcends time and is one of the seven species of Israel.
Aram is an American-born artist who studied and lived in New York up until the late 1980s. During a trip to India, he discovered the rich traditions of metalworking and set up a workshop in New Delhi. Today, Aram keeps the old traditional style and technique of metalworking alive through his passion for his craft. This can be seen throughout his collection, which ranges from table top to furniture.
