Solomon Candlesticks by Laura Cowan
This product is not available.
These tall candlesticks are Israeli designer Laura Cowan's interpretation of the columns from King Solomon's Temple. The right column was named Jachin, which means 'to establish' and the left was named Boaz, which means 'in strength.' Because there has been no conclusive archeological evidence discovered, no one knows exactly how the original columns looked. It is thought they were cast in solid bronze and measured 6 feet in diamater and 27 feet high. Cowan created her own interpretation using her signature cone design and highly polished aircraft quality aluminum. She signs each piece.
Highly polished aluminum
Cowan began her career in London after graduating in silversmithing and jewelry from London Guildhall University. She now brings her unique ideas to the field of Judaica, working from her design studio and workshop in Tel Aviv, Israel.
