The Michael Aram Botanical Leaf Menorah takes its inspiration from the intricacies of form and texture found in particular types of foliage. Reminiscent of eucalyptus and seagrape, the structure celebrates the twisting branches as much as it does the leaves themselves. Situated on a white marble base, this menorah sits like a statue and makes a beautiful addition to the Hanukkah home.
Aram is an American-born artist who studied and lived in New York until the late 1980s. During a trip to India, he discovered the rich traditions of metal working and set up a workshop in New Delhi. Today, Aram keeps the old traditional style and technique of metal working alive and his passion for his craft can be seen throughout his collection, which ranges from table top to furniture. Every piece he designs possesses personal and narrative qualities, making each piece unique to him.
