A silverplated wood cigar box created by artist Barbara Bloom referencing a cigar box given to Sigmund Freud from a patient and inscribed "Christmas 1903". Inscribed on the top of Bloom's cigar box is the phrase "Sometimes an inscription is just an inscription." Inscribed on the inside lid is "Freud 2013." Bloom's signature is engraved on the bottom. Freud's original cigar box, included in the Museum's collection, was shown in the exhibition " As it were ... So to speak: A Museum Collection in Dialogue with Barbara Bloom" at The Jewish Museum, 2013.
